Grip sheets stabilise pallets, but it has always been an issue when palletizing light, medium or heavy packs. Hence, there are always going to be pallet packaging restrictions that can be costly. Also, this can raise health and safety problems. Introducing grip sheets gives the core of your palletized pack strength and stability.
How do grip sheets stabilise pallets?
First, coupled with the correct configuration, grip sheets will allow you to build higher pallets loads due to the stability it provides loads. Light products such as paper hygiene, snacks and mouldings can now be built up to 2.2mtrs high. This mechanism is also without being double stacked.
Second, this packaging solution works by applying grip sheets of paper with Anti-Slip or Grip treatment. Hence, this will allow a high friction coefficient of around 50 degrees of tilt, and we can see grip sheets stabilise pallets. Also, for waxy finished products such as machine detergents, glass bottom packs or slippery finishes, grip sheets allow better stability by binding the bottom face of each layer.
How are grip sheets available?
Grip sheets are also available in master rolls. They can be retrofitted into any auto line. Apart from this, jumbo reels work out much more cost effective since the sheets are individually cut prior to being applied by a robot.
The suckers on the robot will lift whatever. Hence, with jumbo reels, this can be downgauged to the minimum, resulting in more meterage per roll.
Abco Kovex has a full range of grip sheets for both manual and automated applications.
